For demanding corrosive environments

Austenitic-ferritic steels are characterized by a high chromium content (22% and more) and a low nickel content (3.5-8%). They are also known as "duplex" steels.

Imagine immersing yourself in the most demanding corrosive environments without ever failing. Desalination applications, chemical industries and even underwater applications are their preferred terrain. Duplex grades are the unwavering solutions for your success, giving you the confidence that you are up to the most corrosive challenges.

UGIGRIP®

The ideal solution for securing the building structure

UGIGRIP® is available in a wide range of variants. In addition to excellent corrosion resistance, which ensures a long service life of the structures over several decades, the UGIGRIP® range offers a guarantee of:

  • Higher mechanical properties than conventional steel, allowing the use of smaller cross-sections or a reduction in reinforcement (i.e. weight and labor savings)
  • Mechanical properties - yield strength and elongation - that meet the requirements of Eurocode 8, Class M for earthquake-resistant construction
  • A selection of non-magnetic stainless steels for buildings where this property is required: hospitals, banks, airports, meteorological stations, etc.
  • Mechanical properties at high temperatures - tensile strength and creep resistance - exceed those of conventional steels, resulting in improved fire resistance
  • A very low thermal conductivity, which gives this product exceptional properties for the treatment of thermal bridges.
