Powerful and Efficient

Every component manufacturer and plant builder has individual requirements, but they all share the same goals: efficient component production, short lead times, compact designs, and consistently high-performance technologies.

To construct systems like wind turbines, specialized solutions are required. Machines and components, gearboxes, or ball bearings place the highest demands on the material. The rotor diameter of a modern wind turbine often exceeds one hundred meters, and at full load, the rotor rotates at around six meters per second. This results in high dynamic loads, which can only be realized with quality construction and bearing steel, including micro-alloyed versions. Our customers can rely on the load-bearing capacity, precision, and durability of our steel.

Compact and Highly Durable Special Steels

For the specific requirements in mechanical engineering, Swiss Steel Group develops tailor-made steel solutions of the highest strength. The steels must not only be high-strength but also enable high-precision component production. Our machining-optimized ETG® and HSX® special steels combine these properties. For instance, they are used in drive technology shafts, where they withstand high loads durably and maintain shape stability, contributing to smooth operation.

With special steel from Swiss Steel Group, users can realize compact constructions that operate reliably even under the highest loads. The result is machines and systems characterized by reduced maintenance, lower operating costs, and competitiveness.
