Health and safety

At Swiss Steel Group, health and safety of employees is the top priority, with a firm goal to prevent accidents. The health and safety management system follows the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle and considers legal requirements, health and safety standards, and policies. Key elements of the system include risk assessment, behavior-based safety training, workplace inspections, accident analysis, near-miss reporting, and adherence to industry-specific standards.

Encouraging employee health

Swiss Steel Group focuses on preventive, need-based, and targeted initiatives to enhance employee health. This includes preventive medical check-ups, virtual campaigns, online training courses, and global health and safety campaigns like the Global Health and Safety Day. Various initiatives, such as health and safety days at specific locations and mini-health days, raise awareness, provide platforms for dialogue with experts, and address specific health topics. Swiss Steel Group offers occupational medical services tailored to the size of each site. Occupational physicians, paramedics, or emergency medical technicians are available on-site to ensure acute medical care for employees and service providers.

Community and social engagement

Swiss Steel Group is committed to making a positive impact on the communities where it operates. By actively engaging in dialogue with various stakeholders, the company supports people and organizations working for societal welfare. Regular factory tours offer stakeholders insights into production processes, foster dialogue, and deepen mutual understanding. Additionally, events for employees' families are organized to enhance engagement and connection with the community.

Diversity and gender equity

Diversity and gender equity are key concerns in Swiss Steel Group's talent acquisition efforts. We actively set goals to promote gender diversity by implementing effective candidate outreach measures, advocating messages that support an inclusive corporate culture, training hiring managers on diversity issues, and emphasizing data-driven, responsible, and transparent hiring decisions. Swiss Steel Group encourages applications and career development of women in production areas through local gender equity programs. We also implement procedures to address potential harassment and promote a fair workplace. We are convinced that these measures not only contribute to a positive and respectful working atmosphere, but also strengthen our position as an innovative and future-oriented company.
